Quintessential English
 Dining Experience

With its unique setting,Help Out Mill is instantly recognisable as a quintessential English Dining Experience with every item being prepared on site.
This Grade II listed building was formerly the Granary Store to the 18th Century corn mill situated on the Leicestershire banks of the bubbling River Sence.
From the moment you enter the building until the time you leave, usually many hours later, you will relax and absorb the atmosphere of this lovely building.
Dining at The Mill is a wholesome experience, whether you sample the home-made soups, pates or other appetisers you will relish our selection of Mill mains varying regularly from Beef Wellington, home cooked Butterflied Lamb to fresh Scottish Salmon, all served with our home grown vegetable selection - but be prepared, the traditional desserts trolley will leave no taste bud undisturbed.

Ideal venue for
that intimate party

The Mill is not one of the largest venues in the country, but it must be one of the most intimate.
Set on two floors, the quaint reception area provides a warm welcome; the downstairs snug with its open log fire a cosy meeting or socialising room; and the first floor restaurant a unique dining environment for up to 50 guests.
For weddings, funerals or other events, we can adapt The Mill to suit your requirements, ensuring your experience leaves you and your guests satisfied and full of memories of their visit.
Talk to our team about fishing, shooting, quad biking, painting courses, or a whole host of other activities we can co-ordinate - even a relaxing cruise on the Ashby Canal or ride on the Shackerstone Steam Railway.
We have hosted an event with some of China's biggest politicians including a Director General.
The Mill is ideally suited to Private Dinner Parties or celebrations.
We can offer a choice of rooms from our small, cosy, log-fired snug for up to 10 diners or our full size dining room for 50 guests complete with an even larger log fire!
Whether it be an annual meeting; a gathering of friends; or company dinner - The Mill can work with you to provide an event that will be remembered for a long time.
Our team have recently been involved in a host of different events ranging from organising a multi venue motor rally; high profile sporting championships; charity horse rides with the Household Cavalry or fund raising events for young children, we have a wealth of experience that you will benefit from if you choose The Mill for your event.

'I know nothing Mr Fawlty'

Manuel was confused, Sybil delighted and Basil amazed when the Faulty team were informed of Help Out Mills’ Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence award.
Visiting the Shackerstone restaurant for the tenth time, the Faulty Towers Dining Experience have helped the venue achieve its third Five-Star Tripadvisor Certificate.
“Quality is a word that was never associated with Basil in the TV series, so to be a part of an award-winning restaurant team came as a bit of a shock to him when the team recently performed their two hour long show at the Mill,” said restaurant owner Elliott Young.
Guests on the evening were thrilled to hear the announcement and to learn that Help Out Mill is now in the top 0.5 per cent of Tripadvisor restaurant ratings in the World.
The Faulty Towers Dining Experience will be returning to The Mill again in the New Year, but as usual, tickets will sell out almost immediately, so to avoid disappointment call 01530 260666 to reserve your places now.
